Move Management
CCSI manages the move to minimize business interruption using a qualified mover with a customized relocation plan. The move in managed by a consultant at each location to control the actual move.
Part of the move management will be the vendor monitoring to select a vendor, keep the vendor on time and budget for a successful move.
- Pre-move evaluation
- Review costs to bring building up to acceptable condition and move constraints such as costs for after hour air conditioning, tenant move-in instructions/rules, elevators, elevator maintenance/protection, size of elevators, time to move into the building, and level of protection required during the move.
- Relocation budget
- Determine the costs to move into a new building, which include moving of furniture, computers, telephone, art work, equipment, racks, as well as managers and employees time in planning and managing the move.
- Master move planning schedule
- Conduct meetings to assist you and employees with assigning responsibilities for the approximately 25 elements and 400 individual relocation tasks.
- Communication program
- Plan the move support team program by working with the client move management team, assist in the selection of the move support team. Conduct or attend the one hour meetings of the departmental move coordinators.
- Moving company selection
- Prepare a detailed written request for proposal (rfp) and request several qualified moving contractors to walk the job and select mover.
- Manage the move
- Tour the origin and sample check cartons, furnishings and equipment to make sure they have been properly identified and are ready to be moved. Tour the destination to ensure that directional signage and floor labeling have been completed. We are on site (both locations) to manage the move.
- Post move follow-up
- Following each physical move phase, tour the new facility to assist move coordinators and employees to identify move related issues to be resolved, such as damages, losses, misplaced items, etc.
